ALEXANDRA VELAZQUEZ
DVM
Born and raised in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, therefore i speak Spanish and English. I was an electric, perseverant, dedicated young girl that always aspired to be a veterinarian. I completed my undergrad at the University of Puerto Rico in Mayagüez where I majored in pre-veterinary medicine. It was here were I discovered my passion for large animal medicine, specifically in reproductive medicine, theriogenology. I decided to set forth on my adventure, island hoping, to St. Kitts where I attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed my doctorates degree.
My passions include breed genetic modifications in ruminants, artificial insemination, embryo transfer, estrous synchronizations, and semen collection/evaluation/storage in both bulls and stallions. Aside from my work, I love to go to the beach, paddle board, crossfit, hike and stay active. When I’m neither at work or out climbing a mountain, I’m at home cuddling with my two cats, my baby boys, Silas and Dwight.
Being new to the Prescott area, I’m very excited and honored to help this beautiful community and all its furry friends, big and small!
